I was listening to the Diplo/M.I.A. thing, Piracy Funds Terrorism Vol. 1. For the record, a friend whose taste I generally trust recommended it to me. That said, my original impression of M.I.A. being total shit has not changed since I got this particular joint. But you probably knew that already.
Anyway, there’s a Clipse song on here that I hadn’t heard before, but which presumably exists out in the ether somewhere. Definition of a Roller. Towards the end Malice says, “A mountain to a molehill, this is you to me.” Cringe. This is only the second time I’ve heard a rapper fuck up an analogy, but I was surprised it was one of the brothers T. The first was Big L, who said “Comparin’ yourself to me is like a Benz to a Chevrolet.” But Big L was constantly saying stuff that made him sound like an idiot, such as claiming he was “Flamboyant for life” or calling himself Big L and then doing a song called Ebonics where he explains that an L is a loss. The Clipse should know better. In conclusion, the SAT needs the analogy section.
